Title: SZPTSPU Update TSI Ready Status for Transfer Work
Description: Under state rules for the Texas Success Initiative, students’ status in the three skill areas of Math, Writing, and Reading may be set based upon performance in developmental or college level course courses as well as for test scores. The current TSI Update process SZPTSPU evaluates course records of courses taken at the Banner institution. This specification will modify the SZPTSPU TSI Update process to also examine transfer work which has been evaluated and posted to the student’s record at the time the process is run.

Title: Father and Mother Education Level
Description: CBM reports will have a second output file added to provide for extracting the output data as either a comma delimited file for extraction into an Excel Spreadsheet for auditing, or as a submission-ready fixed column text file as defined by the state reporting manual.

Title: SZASXRF Flag 1
Description: The Course Cross Reference Form and Section Cross Reference Form will be modified to add a new CE Contact Course Indicator. A script will be provided to move previous indicators set on User Defined Flag 1 to the new field. The SZRCBMA CBM00A Report process will be updated to use the new field to determine the value of item #21 in compiling the report output data file.

Title: CBM 008 Changes
Description: Modifies SZRCBM8 process to meet the current needs of clients and current state reporting requirements. It also replaces the SZAFSAL form with three separate Faculty forms for the three separate institution types. The new faculty forms will display current salary information and other reporting fields previously stored in a hidden table. Another new form provides a crosswalk for College or School codes to meet this unique reporting requirement for health related institutions. Additionally, certain form functionality will be upgraded to match baseline Banner.

Title: Core Curriculum and Field of Study Completion
Description: The existing TCC process for storing, reporting and printing Core Curriculum information on transcripts will be modified to more precisely identify first time Core Completers
- maintain a more useable record of Core Curriculum Status
- remove Core Complete records from SHADEGR
- utilize TCC form SZVMCIP to extract CIP Code and Type Major for CBM009 instead of SOAXREF
The existing TCC process for reporting CBM009 information including both Core Curriculum completion as well as Field of Study completion will be modified to:
- more precisely identify first time Field of Study Completers
- more precisely identify multiple Field of Study Completers
- maintain a more useable record of Field of Study Status
- remove Field of Study Complete records from SHADEGR

Title: Tuition Grouping
Description: The purpose of this specification is to combine tuition charges into a single total tuition charge (and suppress printing of individual charges) which appears on the printed invoice/bill; appears on student self-service; and is readily viewable by college staff when reviewing tuition charges in order to properly respond to student inquiries as required by state law.

Title: CBM 009 Fix for Single Campus Institutions
Description: The SZRCBM9 report process compiles the CBM009 Graduation Report for all institution types. This process was originally written to accommodate those institutions which submit separate state reports under different FICE codes for individual campuses. The process looks at the Campus Code on SHADEGR and checks GTVSDAX Internal Code CAMPFICE to ensure that the degree record matches the FICE code entered into the process parameters for compiling the report.

Title: SOASUPL Conversion to SZASSTD (Admit State & Nation)
Description: "Values of County, State, and Nation are currently collected during the application process and are populated on SOASUPL Application Supplemental Information Form, validating against baseline tables. The TCC GTVSDAX Rule SUPLADMCST is used to copy (or not) the values entered to SZASSTD Supplemental Student Data fields when the SGASTDN and SZASSTD records are created.
This modification enhances the existing process (trigger) by using existing crosswalks to populate SZASSTD county, state, and nation fields with the state report values instead of the baseline table index values for these items.

Title: 3-peat Refunding Process
Description: This RTE addresses assessment of the correct refund for 3-peat classes dropped during the first 20 days of class. This includes an assumption that an additional fee was charged for registration in the 3-peat class based upon a student attribute and that additional fee is refunded 100% by baseline fee assessment when the course is dropped.

Title: CBM005 Bldg and Room Crosswalks
Description: "A new validation table SZVRTYP will be provided to define and report state Room Type values and to replace the current GTVSDAX rule ROOMTYPE. A new SZAROOM Room State Data Form and new SZABLDG Building State Data Form will be provided. The state CBM report generating process SZRCBM5 will be modified to extract room codes and building codes from these new forms instead of from the baseline SLARDEF form (rooms) and GTVSDAX rules CBM5RMEXPT and STATBLDG (buildings) as is done presently.
The new Room and Building forms and underlying data structures also provide a basis for easy expansion to include additional room and building characteristics at a later time when the CBM011 and CBM014 reports are developed."

Title: Error Checking/Concurrent Curriculum Phase 1
Description: For each CB report CBM001, 004, 006, 00A and 00C an output file will be created in a comma separated value (csv) format which lists ONLY those records which contain one or more items with values which fall outside of the state prescribed values. The values which fall outside of the prescribed values will be marked as “questionable” (marked with a preceding question mark) or “error” (marked with a preceding asterisk) consistent with the published state guidelines as detailed in the separate Data Map Error Listings provided for each report. The use of this Error Listing and Summary Data output will be to enable member institutions to find and correct errors prior to the initial submission of the report to the state.

Title: Apply Texas Modularization Changes
Description: Apply Texas is investigating the possibility of modularizing the front end of the application. Changes to the programs to process the delivered data may be necessary.

Title: Maximum SCH Lowered to 120 Hours
Description: This modification will add effective term to the records on the existing SZVMCIP Major CIP Code Validation Table. The revised SZVMCIP Table will also be used to replace the SOAXREF_MAJRCIPC crosswalk for Community College reports to extract Major CIP Code and Type Major as needed for the CTC CBM001, CBM00A, and CBM009 reports.

Title: Exceeded Funding Process
Description: Report students who have exceeded funding, display students on a form with an indicator if the SZASSTD Exceeded Funding flag needs updated. Include a process to update Exceeded Funding flag and assign attribute for fee assessment. University only

Title: Certificate Program Waiver Modification
Description: This modification will provide for validation of certificate programs on SZATXSI and require SGASTDN to have the certificate program entered as the primary curriculum before it can be entered on SZATXSI.

Title: EDI Transcript- TCC Data loaded into Banner
Description: Baseline Banner provides an EDI Transcript. This mod will provide an Automatic Upload of Texas Specific Data (Core Curriculum and TSI Data) from an incoming EDI transcript into the TCC Developed forms for that data, SZATXSI and the New Progress Measures Form.

Title: CBM 00N Student Number Change Report
Description: The Coordinating Board has directed all public institutions to submit a Student Number Change Report CBM00N whenever a previously submitted record is found to need correction of Social Security Number, Date of Birth, or Gender. The three manuals contain precisely the same instructions. This modification will provide for storing previous SSN, DOB, or gender values when corrections are reported to the state and for automatic compiling of the CBM00N Student Number Change Report.

Title: Tuition Rebate Modification
Description: The tuition rebate program is state mandated and returns a $1000.00 tuition rebate for qualified students who are awarded a baccalaureate degree by a general academic institution. This modification will provide a report to assist institutions in finding potential candidates for the tuition rebate. The report will be run through Banner job submission. This applies to Universities ONLY.

Title: Paid/Funded Student Report
This specification will provide a report to allow institutions to identify, at any specific point in time, those students who have paid less than the amount required by the date due to be eligible for state funding reimbursement.

Title: CBM 00E Doctoral Exception Report
Description: Since the Doctoral Funding Limit is prescribed as a parallel rule to the existing Undergraduate Funding Limit, the Texas Connection Mod for tracking the Undergraduate Funding Limit will form the foundation for tracking doctoral students towards their funding limit. Provisions will be made to easily track doctoral students towards the funding limit. A new report process is provided to extract data on those doctoral students granted an exception to produce the CBM00E Doctoral Exception Report through baseline BANNER job submission.

Title: HB 1231 6 Drop Limit Rule Phase 1
Description: Provides the basic SZADLMT Drop Limit Rule Form and SZASDLM Student Drop Limit Status Form (and associated tables) for identifying and tracking students subject to either institutional or state drop limits. The top half of the two forms as displayed in the appendices (shaded pink) is included. Phase I also provides for a change to the SZASSTD trigger which will create an initial student drop limit status form when SZASSTD is created, inserting the currently applicable drop limits. A process SZPSDLU Student Drop Limit Update is provided to populate the values for students subject to drop limits who were admitted / enrolled before the initial modification was installed. Phase I also modifies SHREDIY and SHRTRTC to provide a notation on outgoing transcripts which displays the current institutional drop count or exemption.

Title: HB 1231 6 Drop Limit Rule Phase 2
Description: Phase II will expand the Phase I forms and processes to enable members to collect more detail and document rules used for tracking and enforcement during registration to comply with state law and coordinating board rules related to the Limitation of Course Drops by Undergraduate Students. Some Fields will be automated. Phase II will provide institutions:
- An expanded drop limit rules form SZADLMT to enable institutions to define drop limit rules and track student drops in compliance with references (b) TEC 51.907 and (c) TAC §4.10. (see lower half of SZADLMT Drop Limit Rules Form Appendix 7.1)
- An expanded student drop limit status form SZASDLM which includes transferred drop counts by individual transfer institution. (see lower half of SZASDLM Student Drop Limit Status Form Appendix 7.2)
- A report to list affected students with current drop counts and drop status.
- A method for making exceptions in registration for courses, sections, or individuals.

Title: HB 1231 6 Drop Limit Rule Phase 3
Description: Phase III will provide automated registration controls for enforcing drop limit rules. Phase III automation will be developed for baseline registration, for student self-service registration, and for web-for-faculty registration. Phase III will provide:
- Automated drop controls for students subject to the limit which record the drops which count towards a limit and update drop counters when applicable,
- Automated notification of limits to students during registration, and
- Prevent drop transactions from being entered once drop limits are reached.

Title: Inter-Institutional Provider
Description: The use of the Inter-Institutional field is revised on SZACXRF and SZASXRF for indicating whether the institution is the Providing Institution or Receiving Institution for an Inter-Institutional Course or Section, respectively. Simple re-arrangement of the two existing Inter-Institutional specific fields is done on both forms to improve clarity and ease of entering and viewing Inter-Institutional data. The state reports which extract inter-institutional data are revised to consider the new field values and precisely distinguish whether the classes / enrollments / hours are reportable or not for state funding.

Title: USAS Automation Crosswalk Rewrite and Multiple Agencies
Description:
- Review the existing validation and crosswalk forms.
- Reports/Extracts to be changed due to crosswalk change for USAS Automation project (USAS, HRIS, TRS and State Auditors Report).
- Additional Crosswalk needs on GTVSDAX. To add an entry to GTVSDAX with COA added to the translations field to pick up the correct agency information. Reports to be changed (HRIS, USAS, TRS, ORP and 457). See Appendix 7.2
- Review HRIS, USAS, TRS and State Auditors Report for the truncating and hierarchy of account code compared to the state object code.
- New table for the accounts that have to be marked confidential.

Title: Comp Time
Description: This request is to allow Banner HR to track State Comp Time for Nonexempt Employees. These employees can be defined by their employee classes. Also, to automatically pay any FLSA accrued comp time hours that are over 240 (or 480 hours for Public Safety/Emergency personnel). Also, to automatically pay or drop accrued State comp time one year after the date of accrual.
